Creating with plasticine

The children were enjoying building with small Lego, so as an extension to their learning, we decided to provide them with a variety of plasticine and toothpicks. Working with Lego and plasticine are great activities to help strengthen fine motor skills. We encouraged the children to make "micro"creations and then write about them. Next, the children were challenged to create scenes and backgrounds. Finally, they were asked to give their work a title and showcase their final product in our classroom art gallery. What amazing things are being created in room 1!
