3-D Shapes -Learning Goals

The children have been very interested in building 3-D objects, so we decided that it would be an ideal time to start exploring 3-D shapes. Our learning goals for the end of our two year program is for the children to be able to say:

-I can describe 3-D shapes (e.g., This cube is made up of squares).
-I can sort and compare 3-D shapes (e.g., shapes that roll, shapes that slide).
-I can build with 3-D shapes (e.g., I can build a tower out of the shapes that have flat faces).
-I can name common 3-D shapes (cube, cylinder, cone, sphere).
