Frozen Hands

We have been talking about temperature and that water freezes at 0 degrees Celsius. To further explore the concept of freezing and melting, each child had the opportunity to create "frozen" hands out of a rubber glove, water and decorations. After the hands were frozen, we allowed each child to determine how he or she would like to melt his or her "hand". They had plenty of ideas including using salt, a sunny spot, the oven and water. Ask your child how he or she melted his or her hand.
