Saying Goodbye and Thank You to our Painted Lady Butterflies

Sharing a special goodbye, each child had the opportunity to hold a slice of orange with a butterfly on it before she flew away. Hand to hand the children passed around the butterfly carefully and quietly so everyone got a turn.  We have learned so much about Painted Lady Butterflies, life cycles and habitats. What a magical day!

Ontario Provincial Police

On Friday morning we had the opportunity to see the inside of an O.P.P. Cruiser. What a neat experience!

Dental health

On Thursday we had a special visitor come in. We learned about how to keep our teeth healthy.

What's your number?

The children have shown an interest in using telephones and making phone calls while at our Dramatic Play Centre. We have been discussing phone numbers and how each number is different depending on who you want to call.

What number would you call in an emergency? Who would you call if you wanted to order a pizza? What if you wanted to grandpa?

Learning his/her phone number is an important part of your child's development. Making it into a catchy song is an easy way to teach your child their phone number.

Having your child practice making phone calls at home is a great way for your child to learn the skills necessary for making a proper phone call.  When they are ready, help them learn how to answer your phone properly and safely.

Practicing with family members and friends is a great activity and fun for everyone!

Amazing Chrysalis.

Watching and waiting for our Painted Lady Butterflies to emerge.
Ask your child when they think they will see our first classroom butterfly.

Fire Safety

The firefighters from station four came to visit.
He shows us how to use the pry bar.
We saw the equipment in the truck.

Stay low and crawl under the smoke.
Stop, Drop and Roll.

We drew flames on our building pictures

And put them out with spray bottles.
